Despite my Dad first falling properly ill when I was 11 I've never mentioned it on any of my various online haunts, but now we've lost our father (a truly remarkable man with many a story to tell!) after seeing him so ill for so long it's time to fight back with the help of the internet.
In place of flowers being sent to us or brought to the funeral, we've chosen to have donations to UK Stem Cell Foundation as this is the single biggest hope that MS sufferers and their loved ones have. But it's not just MS that ill benefit, stem cell treatments and cures would truly transform the lives of individuals worldwide and the list of conditions it would help is huge.
You can find out more and donate on our Just Giving page (here) if you'd like to support my brother-in-law in his Movember efforts, or donate directly to UKSCF here if you'd prefer. Alternatively, text UKSC99 and your desired donation (between £1-10) to 70070 e.g. UKSC99 £1
I can't put into words how grateful we are for every £1, and to see donations of as much as £75 being made to the charity in our honour already is just unbelievable! We're so moved!
